Name Search

The Name Search form is used to accept assignments or to save a new case. After clicking the "Attach Case" link in the Assignments Pane or the "New Assign" button, the Name Search form will appear.

Enter as much client information as desired in the Name Search form and click the magnifying glass on the far right of the form. This will search the firm's database of clients to determine if there is a matching client already in the database.

If the name search returns a "hit," any possibly matching clients and their associated case numbers will be shown. In the example below, a search for last name "Test" and first name "Client" has revealed a client with the same name with five existing case numbers.

If the client found using the Name Search is the same client as in the current assignment, click the green file cabinet with a plus sign to save the assignment as a new case for that client.

If the Name Search finds no matches, or the matches found are not the same client, then click the green plus button at the bottom of the Name Search forum to create a new client entry for the case.
